Step-by-Step Setup Guide

1

Open Sony TV Settings

Press the Home button on your Sony remote, then open Settings. On newer Google TV models, select the Settings gear icon in the top-right corner.

2

Go to Network & Internet

Open Network & Internet. On some Sony Android TV models, you may need to open Network first.

3

Select Your Connection

Choose your active Wi-Fi network or Ethernet connection, depending on how your Sony Smart TV is connected to the internet.

4

Open IP Settings

Keep Your Current Network Details

Keep the current IP address, Gateway, and Network prefix length values unchanged. Only change the DNS fields.

7

Enter Your UnGeo Smart DNS servers

In the DNS 1 field, enter the primary UnGeo Smart DNS server shown in your Client Area. If your TV shows DNS 2, enter the secondary UnGeo Smart DNS server.

Troubleshooting

On newer Sony Google TV models, open Settings → Network & Internet. On older Sony Android TV models, open Settings → Network.
Select your active Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection first. Then open Advanced options or scroll down until you see IP settings.
Change IP settings from DHCP or Automatic to Static. Sony TVs usually show DNS fields only after Static or Manual IP settings are enabled.
This is normal on Sony Google TV and Android TV. Keep the current network values unchanged and only replace the DNS fields with your UnGeo Smart DNS servers.
The IP address, Gateway, or Network prefix length may have been entered incorrectly. Switch back to DHCP, reconnect to the network, then repeat the setup carefully.
Many Sony TVs allow DNS 1 and DNS 2. Enter the primary and secondary UnGeo Smart DNS servers shown in your Client Area. If only one DNS field is available, enter the primary server.
Make sure your UnGeo account is active, your current IP address is added in the Client Area, and the UnGeo Smart DNS servers were entered correctly. Then restart your Sony Smart TV and reopen the streaming app.
Some apps depend on your Sony TV model, Android TV or Google TV version, and Google account region. If the app is not available, contact UnGeo support and we’ll help you choose the best setup option.
