PlayStation Portal Smart DNS Setup Guide
Follow this simple guide to set up UnGeo Smart DNS on your PS Portal using the built-in Wi-Fi network settings.
Before You Start
Before changing your DNS settings, make sure your UnGeo account is active and your current IP address is added in your Client Area. If that is already done, continue with the DNS setup below.
Don’t have an account yet?
Choose a plan and create your UnGeo account before setting up DNS.
Get Started ›Add your current IP address
Add your current IP address in the Client Area to allow UnGeo to work properly.
Register My IP Address ›Once both are done, continue with the DNS setup steps.
Step-by-Step Setup Guide
Open PS Portal Settings
From the PS Portal home screen, open Settings.
Go to Network Settings
Open Network or Wi-Fi settings to view available wireless networks.
Select Your Wi-Fi Network
Choose the Wi-Fi network your PS Portal is currently connected to, or select the network you want to connect to.
Open Advanced Settings
Open Advanced Settings or manual network options for the selected Wi-Fi network.
Set IP Address Settings
Keep IP Address Settings set to Automatic unless your network requires a manual IP address.
Change DNS Settings to Manual
Change DNS Settings from Automatic to Manual.
Enter Your UnGeo Smart DNS servers
In the Primary DNS field, enter the primary UnGeo Smart DNS server shown in your Client Area. If Secondary DNS is available, enter the secondary UnGeo Smart DNS server as well.
Set MTU and Proxy
Keep MTU Settings set to Automatic and set Proxy Server to Do Not Use.
Save Your Changes
Save the Wi-Fi settings and reconnect PS Portal to your network.
Restart PS Portal
Restart your PS Portal so the new DNS settings are applied.
You’re All Set!
Your PS Portal is now ready to use UnGeo Smart DNS.
