iPad Smart DNS Setup Guide

Follow this simple guide to set up UnGeo Smart DNS on your iPad using your Wi-Fi network settings.

Before You Start

Before changing your DNS settings, make sure your UnGeo account is active and your current IP address is added in your Client Area. If that is already done, continue with the DNS setup below.

Choose a plan and create your UnGeo account before setting up DNS.

Add your current IP address

Add your current IP address in the Client Area to allow UnGeo to work properly.

Register My IP Address

Once both are done, continue with the DNS setup steps.

Step-by-Step Setup Guide

Open iPad Settings

Open Settings on your iPad.

Go to Wi-Fi

Tap Wi-Fi and make sure your iPad is connected to the Wi-Fi network you want to use with UnGeo.

Open Your Wi-Fi Network Details

Tap the info icon next to your connected Wi-Fi network.

Open Configure DNS

Scroll down to the DNS section and tap Configure DNS.

Switch DNS to Manual

Select Manual to enter custom DNS servers.

Remove Existing DNS Servers

If there are old DNS servers listed, remove them using the minus icon.

Add Your UnGeo Smart DNS Servers

Tap Add Server and enter the first UnGeo Smart DNS server from your Client Area. Then tap Add Server again and enter the second UnGeo Smart DNS server.

Save Your Changes

Tap Save in the top-right corner.

Restart Your Browser or Streaming App

Close and reopen your browser or streaming app so it starts using the new DNS settings.

You’re All Set!

Your iPad is now ready to use UnGeo Smart DNS. Enjoy your favorite shows and channels.

How to Check If It’s Working

Visit the UnGeo DNS Check page to verify whether your device is using UnGeo Smart DNS correctly.

Troubleshooting

Make sure you opened the details page for your connected Wi-Fi network by tapping the info icon next to the network name.
Tap Configure DNS and switch it from Automatic to Manual before adding UnGeo Smart DNS servers.
No. Manual Smart DNS setup on iPad applies to Wi-Fi networks. Mobile data does not normally allow custom DNS servers in the same way.
Make sure at least one DNS server is entered, remove old DNS entries if needed, then tap Save in the top-right corner.
Make sure your UnGeo account is active, your current IP address is added in the Client Area, and both UnGeo Smart DNS servers were entered exactly as shown.
